16 Arhat Puja

Tibetan Title: ༄༅།  །པཎ་ཆེན་ཤཱཀྱ་ཤྲིས་མཛད་པར་གྲགས་པའི་གནས་བརྟན་ཕྱག་མཆོད་དང་འབྲེལ་བའི་ཆོ་ག་མདོར་བསྡུས་ཙམ་བྱ་ཚུལ་གྱི་ངག་འདོན་བཞུགས་སོ།  །

English Title: An Abridged Puja of Homage and Offerings to the Sthaviras

This Abridged Puja to the 16 Arhats (Skt. Ṣoḍaśa Sthavirāḥ) assists us in successfully accomplishing our Dharma practice and in the propagation of the Dharma for the benefit of beings.

Sojong

Tibetan Title: ༄༅། ། ཐེག་པ་ཆེན་པོའི་གསོ་སྦྱོང་རང་གིས་ལེན་པའི་ཆོ་ག་བཞུགས་སོ།།

English Title: Sojong: Ritual of Taking the Eight Mahāyāna Precepts

Preserving pure morality accumulates great merit and purifies negative karma. The one day Sojong vows are similar to monastic vows for one day and include the precept to refrain from eating after noon until the sunrises the next day.

Medicine Buddha Ritual

Tibetan Title: ༄༅།    །སྨན་བླའི་མདོ་ཆོག་གི་སྙིང་པོ་ཤིན་ཏུ་བསྡུས་པ་ཕན་བདེའི་དཔལ་སྟེར་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་བཞུགས་སོ།།    །།

English Title: The Very Concise Essence Sūtra Rite of Bhaiṣajyaguru —Bestower of Happiness and Benefit

This sūtra rite is a condensed essence practice of the Medicine Buddha (Skt. Bhaiṣajyaguru; Tib. སངས་རྒྱས་སྨན་བླ་, sangs rgyas sman bla), which includes homage, offering, and aspiration prayers.

Buddha Bathing Ritual

A short ritual for bathing the Buddha commonly performed during Vesak by bathing an image of the infant bodhisattva with scented blessed water.

English Title: Buddha Bathing Ritual – Washing the Image

A short prayer recitation that can be recited while bathing the Buddha. The ritual is commonly performed during Vesak where practitioners bathe an image of the infant bodhisattva with scented blessed water.
