Sachen Foundation has hired Gesar Capital Management to manage its investment portfolio. The Foundation’s Finance Planning and Investment Committee (the “Committee”) works closely with Gesar Capital to determine investment strategy for the portfolio. Gesar Capital also manages investments for other non-profit organizations.
Assets of the Foundation are invested in a manner consistent with guidelines set out by the Committee and reviewed by the Foundation’s Board of Directors. These guidelines are reviewed from time to time and may be amended.
Broad objectives of the Foundation include preserving capital with potential for capital growth that is moderate risk. Investments shall be diversified so as to minimize the risk of large losses.
The long-term goal is to build an investment portfolio that will generate sufficient income to support the Foundation’s grant-making activities.
