Preserving the Lord Buddha’s Teachings through Studies, Practice & Education
Since 2017, under the spiritual guidance of His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin, the Sachen Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation, education, and transmission of the Buddha’s teachings, with a special emphasis on the Sakya tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
The glorious Sakya Order flourished through an unbroken lineage of scholars and Mahasiddhas. The fame of the glorious Sakya Order spread to many places. Many ancient histories and texts by great scholars of all schools describe without exaggeration or sectarian bias how their holy efforts and activities spread the light of Lord Buddha’s precious teachings.
His Holiness Kyabgon Gongma Trizin Ratna Vajra Rinpoche is the elder son of His Holiness the 41st Sakya Trichen and is considered one of the most highly qualified lineage masters of Tibetan Buddhism. Renowned for his erudition and the clarity of his teachings, Rinpoche belongs to the prestigious Sakya Khön family, whose successive generations have provided an unbroken lineage of outstanding masters.
At Sachen Foundation, we work to keep the Buddha’s wisdom alive and accessible for generations to come. We support the dedicated monks and nuns who preserve and share the Dharma, help children and adults receive authentic Buddhist education, and safeguard rare and precious teachings through preservation, translation, and publication.
