Preserving pure morality accumulates great merit and purifies negative karma. The one day Sojong vows are similar to monastic vows for one day and include the precept to refrain from eating after noon until the sunrises the next day. This text includes an introduction describing Sojong practice and its benefits along with the ritual itself.
