This sūtra rite is a condensed essence practice of the Medicine Buddha (Skt. Bhaiṣajyaguru; Tib. སངས་རྒྱས་སྨན་བླ་, sangs rgyas sman bla), which includes homage, offering, and aspiration prayers.
