The Dhāraṇī of Maitreya’s Sacred Pledge with Verses of Aspiration

The prayer opens with a devotional hymn to the future buddha Maitreya followed by the dhāraṇī known as “Maitreya’s Sacred Pledge”. The dhāraṇī is said to convey great benefit and is intended to be recited in gatherings. The main part concludes with a short dedication followed by an extensive aspirational prayer.
